Assignment description:
Orgentec engaged Prevas to develop an instrument for clinical laboratories. Market launch for the instrument needed to occur within 18 months.

Solution:
First, a pilot study was set up that utilized Prevas' platforms. A test series of instruments was in production after 13 months and there was full series production after 18 months. Prevas also developed a specially manufactured optical density meter using semiconductor technology.

Customer benefit:
Prevas was able to conform to the demanding schedule and one year later, Alegría® received the Medical Design Excellence Award.
