Brief
The challenge presented to Prevas was to create a small, easy-to-use hand held device that produced accurate and reproducible results in line with the much more technically complex NIOX®.
Solution
The product development was outsourced to Prevas, which used its broad spectrum of engineering talents to develop a new innovative concept that enabled miniaturization of the device while reducing manufacturing costs. The result was NIOX MINO®.
Benefit
NIOX MINO® is the first and only hand held NO analyzer on the market. Several patents were generated during the project.
In 2005, NIOX MINO® was awarded the Medical Design Excellence award (MDEA).
