Xstrata Nickel is the world´s fourth largest nickel producer with mining operations that include five mines and processing facilities. Xstrata Nickel manages an annual production of more than 116,000-tons of refined nickel from its fully -integrated operations.
Overview:
Xstrata Nickel used a self-made lab-database that became inconvenient to work with. They had a lot of information they wanted to get into a database for using in simulation, testing, statistics and analysis.
Solution:
Prevas delivered the Laboratory system (Mikon LIMS).
Benefit:
Increased productivity and better control with input and output in the manufacturing processes. The company can see big improvements in traceability in the process- and pollution analysis.
