Brüel & Kjær Vibro provides early fault detection by monitoring machines using a simple and effective monitoring solution. Prevas has developed a customized solution with an integrated system for remote-controlled machine and motor diagnostics. 

M2M solution
Prevas has designed a data collection system that has a 16-channel analog interface with high precision and integrated signal processing in DSP and FPGA. With Prevas' own processor modules as the common platform, data and system configurations are easily managed remotely, either via cable (Ethernet) or wirelessly (GPRS). 

Result and effect of the M2M solution
By outsourcing the entire development project to Prevas, Brüel & Kjær Vibro was able to focus on their core competencies simultaneous to developing a very complex, customized integrated solution.

Early detection of vibrations that deviate from the norm makes it possible to plan preventive service in a proactive way, rather than waiting and dealing with faults as they arise. This saves both time and money. Furthermore, preventive service can typically be performed faster than emergency service.
