Brief:
Waters had obsolescence issues and commissioned Prevas to develop a new platform for the control system of their mass spectrometers.
Solution:
Prevas designed a state-of-the-art system. The project was turn-key delivery of PCBs and design transfer to manufacturing. The design included electronics, firmware and embedded software. An innovative solution for remote diagnostics was also implemented. Knowledge was transferred to Waters, enabling a technology shift for Waters´ in-house R&D department.
Benefit:
Manufacturing and field service costs were reduced. Waters now has a future-proof platform for mass spectrometry.
