Prevas is an IT consulting company at the leading edge when it comes to new technology, and we have a burning passion for solving technical challenges. We are a modern company and an important collaborative partner for our clients. This is why we see it as self-evident that we’re also at the leading edge when it comes to diversity.

To achieve a more even distribution between men and women, Prevas needs to increase the number of women at the company. At present, 12 percent of our employees are women. One of the goals of increasing equality between men and women is increasing workplace quality. The fundamental idea behind the quality aspect is that the values, experiences, opinions and circumstances of both genders should influence the norms and patterns that determine how the organization and operations are structured.

Equal opportunity is important to us and something we're constantly working with. Here are a few examples of what we’re doing:

  • During 2016 we're conducting a central project with the goal of attracting more women to Prevas. We want to determine what we need to do to get more women to apply for jobs at Prevas. We're also looking over how we can be even more attractive to women (and men) to strengthen our employer branding.
  • Prevas is taking part in Womentor – a program for putting more women in management positions in the IT and telecom sectors.
  • Prevas is active in various networks for women, including Karlstad University’s network for women studying IT – ITQ.
  • Prevas invites female IT students from various colleges and universities to an annual evening event just for women. Here we present both the company and female role models in the industry, as well as networks, so as to help establish important contacts for the future.
  • Prevas is sponsoring the Female Engineer Network event, with invitations going out to female engineers for an evening of inspiration. One of the speakers at the event will be from Prevas.
  • Our equal opportunity plan stipulates that we shall work with diversity. An example of this is that we’re working with in-house recruiters in prioritizing applicants to help bring in more women.
